Hey Guys!
So I decided to get readers pumped for the summer! April, at least for me, seems like a never ending cycle of papers, tests and projects and a bunch of other stuff that will never end. May, in April doesn't seem like a month away but maybe like 5 months away like we were sorta in first semester. But that just me! When I am on the internet I like to count down the days to the biggest summer blockbusters like POTC 3: Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and Harry Potter 5: Order of the Phoenix.
Summer is the biggest time for movies and one of the biggest weekends for films is Memorial Day and Independence Day Weekend. Movies like Harry Potter and Spider-Man series have come out during the summer and shattered records in the process. Both films have been highly anticipated since the previous movie in each respective series has come out. Other movies like Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer are anticipated for summer opening and having a huge cult following. These movies as well as others, are made by blockbuster directors and producers like Michael Bay and juggernaut Jerry Bruckheimer.
However, films are not only being anticipated for summertime fun. There are books (besides summer reading) that are already being predicted as the Top of the New York Times Bestseller List. One such book, is of course Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (for those who don't know its the last in a seven book series). It has already been shattering records with about two months to go. Harry Potter Book 7 and Harry Potter Movie 6 are coming out one week apart with midnight parties for both the book and the movie going on during the morning of the openings. Both the book and the movie are coming out in July, which some would predict could be "Harry's month." Whatever the case is, there is sure to be tons of movies and books for every type of person to keep busy on the lazy days of summer. However, critics and audiences cannot predict who will be the "winners and losers" of summer until the numbers come out. Summer is one of the most unpredictable seasons in entertainment. So, we shall see.
Until next time.
Signing off,
Sam
